Submissions & Timeline for Special Issue of  EvoS Journal: NEEPS 2023 (New Paltz & Online)

EvoS Journal: The Journal of the Evolutionary Studies Consortium is proud to publish a special issue highlighting research presented at the 16^th-annual NorthEastern Evolutionary Psychology Society Conference. All presenters from the conference, whether in-person or virtual, are invited to submit their work.

The deadline for initial submissions is October 31st, 2023.

Please see below for deadlines and details relating to these special issues.

1. Submit Manuscripts (Deadline: October 31, 2023)
   1. Option 1: Submit manuscripts in APA style via the Submissions Portal
      1. Enter in the requested information, following the prompt
      2. Select ‘Special Issue’ for NEEPS 2023 submissions.
      3. Attach Cover Letter, Title Page, Masked Manuscript, etc.
      4. Click ‘Submit’
   2. Option 2: Email completed masked manuscripts in APA style along with a title page to the special issue and EvoS general submission editors.
      1. NEEPS 2022 Special Issue Editors: Mitch Brown (mb103@uark.edu), Mike Frederick (mfrederick@ubalt.edu), & Rich Holler (evostudies@gmail.com)
      2. Only the title page should include author names, acknowledgements, affiliations, etc. to be reflected in the final publication. Click here for basic author guidelines.
2. Manuscripts Sent to Reviewers (Deadline: November 30^th, 2023)
3. First Round of Decisions Sent to Authors (Deadline: February 28^th, 2024)
   1. Reviewers will submit completed reviews to the editors, who will send initial decisions regarding submissions to authors.

4. Authors re-submit if Designated for Revision (Deadline: April 11^th, 2024)
5. Final Decision Letters Sent to Authors (Deadline: April 30^th, 2024)
6. Special Issues to be Finalized and Published (Target: May 30^th, 2024)
